GRADING
You’ll receive a letter grade for each assignment. Every letter grade corresponds to a numeric value, where that value is the midpoint of a point range. For example, a ‘B’ is a grade of 85.45%. If that assignment were worth 15 points—–which is the same as 15% of your final grade—–then you would have received 12.82 final grade points (because 85.45 x 0.15 = 12.82). Your final semester letter grade will be based on the total points you earn and where that total lies in relation to the below ranges:

Exemplary: A+ (97-100; mid 98.5); A (94-96.9; mid 95.45); A- (90-93.9; mid 91.95).
Very Good: B+ (87-89.9; mid 88.45); B (84-86.9; mid 85.45); B- (80-83.9; mid 81.95).
Satisfactory: C+ (77-79.9; mid 78.45); C (74-76.9; mid 75.45); C- (70-73.9; mid 71.95).
Needs Improvement: D+ (69.9), or below, must be resubmitted.

LATE ASSIGNMENTS
All assignments are due on the date specified. This is especially important with the Reading Analysis assignments because they are both a form of preparation for class discussion and a written contribution you make to the colectiva. That said, these are terribly unique and unpredictable times.

If you are unable to meet an expected due date, you can have an automatic extension of 24 hours, which carries with it a 10% grade deduction. After the 24 hours have passed, all assignments not turned in will receive 0 (zero) final grade points. The extensions are in effect whether a holiday, weekend, or break. If you have an extenuating circumstance that you feel will prevent you from turning in an assignment within the extension period, let me know as soon as possible so we can work out solution. My goal is always your success.
